About Me

Master of Laws degree in International Arbitration and Litigation from University College, London, and multi-jurisdictional experience of having worked in European and South East Asian jurisdictions apart from India, are only a few feathers from Nishant’s hat. Nishant is presently heading the Commercial Litigation and Employment Laws team. Over the years he has managed to create a niche for himself in the areas of commercial arbitration and labour and employment laws.

Nishant’s core practice areas are commercial arbitration, commercial litigation and labor laws and regularly represents trans-national companies in structuring their operations from a labour law perspective, and before various courts of law, arbitral tribunals and statutory authorities.

Nishant is a well-known face for representing trans-national corporations as also domestic entities before Arbitral panels on a regular basis. As regards his Labour laws practice, Nishant regularly advises clients on employment policies, labour laws and industrial relations. He also represents companies and organisations in employer-employee disputes and is well versed with the vast gamut of labour legislations to provide in-depth guidance to his clients. As part of his dispute resolution practice he has represented some of the largest companies in India in highly contentious matters.

He is currently a member of Bar Council of Delhi, Delhi High Court Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, ASSOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Nishant frequently presents papers and is part of panel discussions at legal conferences and seminars and is a member of various legal professional bodies and institutions.
